Joey de Leon, one of the original hosts of “Eat Bulaga,” took to social media following rumors that the longest-running noontime show on Philippine television would be rebranded.
“Actually, natatawa at natutuwa ako sa mga pangyayari kasi pinag-uusapan pa rin kami hanggang ngayon! Thanks!” wrote Joey on Instagram on March 3.
Joey, who carries the name angpoetnyo on Instagram, shared a screenshot of the news item from the Manila Bulletin that carried the rumors about “rebranding” Eat Bulaga. He even tagged co-host Sen. Tito Sotto, and Pauleen Luna Sotto, wife of Vic Sotto, to his post.
Fans of “Eat Bulaga” shared their sentiments on the comment section of Joey’s post. Some comments:
“Wag naman sana, hindi po sana totoo. Pero kung matuloy ito, sana buong Dabarkads pa din po, walang iwanan, si Jalosjos na lang po ang iwan nyo.”
